Netflix allows us to watch all the shows they own without a single-ad, that too at a very low price starting off at 199 per month to a premium subscription of 799 per month. Each plan has its own benefits and screen sharing limits. No additional payments are charged from the users.

Where it all started.

Marc and Hastings got the idea of starting a streaming platform when they were commuting between their homes in Santa Cruz. Later Hastings invested $2.5 million as a startup cash for the platform.

They switched from VHS tapes to DVDs because they were too delicate to transport and highly risky. As a result, Netflix became the first online DVD rental shop, with 30 workers and 925 titles accessible.

Is Netflix good for kids?

Netflix comes with uncensored or original versions of all films and TV shows. Most of them are adults-only, which might not be good content for kids. So, there is a parent control option to control the experience while kids are watching a family- friendly show or film in their space and it assures safety.

How friendly is Netflix?

Netflix is a very friendly and flexible platform without any unwanted commitments with the users. We can cancel or stop our account anytime and anywhere. Netflix does not charge a cancellation fee for the same.

Netflix faces continuous criticism from disability rights supporters for not providing captioning for the deaf or hard of hearing and was once sued by the US National Association of the Deaf in the year 2011.

They have also faced controversies over content. Netflix was criticized for showing the series 13 Reasons Why for the fact that it glamorizes suicide and for using stock footage from 2013 Lac-Megantic rail disaster in the movies Bird Box and Travelers.

The company faced criticism for the announcement of partnership with Gwyneth Paltrow and Liu Cixin.

The Netflix distribution model for original films has also led to conflicts.
